The mineralization is associated with a diapir of Triassic evaporites that intruded Jurassic platform carbonates and Cretaceous limestones and marls. The mineralization occurs in veins and breccia zones crosscutting Jurassic platform carbonates or along tectonic breccias in the contact zones between Triassic, Jurassic, or Cretaceous strata.
