Location: This occurrence is at the lower end of the Wiseman Creek canyon about 0.5 mile west-northwest of Wiseman. The location is accurate.
Geology: Brosge and Reiser (1960) reported unspecified copper sulfides and malachite stains in Devonian(?) schist and marble. At the same location, Mulligan (1974) described narrow veins of quartz and dogtooth-spar gypsum in mica schist. Grab samples of quartz and gypsum float contained traces of chalcopyrite and chrysocolla (Mulligan, 1974). Dillon and Reifenstuhl (1990) mapped the rocks in the area as lower Paleozoic(?) or Proterozoic(?) marble and calcareous schist.
