Geology: Dillon and others (1981, locality 348 [AOF 133B]) describe this occurrence as a mineralized layer 300 meters long and 5 to 250 cm thick, that is composed mainly of fine-grained quartz that contains chalcopyrite, and sparse cuprite and sphalerite. A single chip sample from outcrop contains 2% copper, more than 100 ppm antimony, and 20 ppm zinc. The rocks in the area are Devonian, Skajit Limestone and Middle or Upper Devonian black phyllite, dark limestone, and conglomerate (Dillon and others, 1986).
