Location: This occurrence is at an elevation of 4,900 feet about a half-mile south-southeast of VABM Canwell near the northwest end of Rainbow Ridge. It is at the center of section 29, T. 18 S., R. 11 E., Fairbanks Meridian. The occurrence is described in Hanson (1963, p. 67).
Geology: At this occurrence, pyrite forms disseminations and coats fractures in Permian (?) metadacite intrusive rocks and in fragmental volcanic rocks of the Slana Spur Formation of Pennsylvanian age (Hanson, 1963). This occurrence is one of the four prominent areas of pyrite and chalcopyrite disseminated in dacitic tuff noted by Hanson (1963, p. 67, figure 5).
Workings: The occurrence is on active claims of Northeast Exploration.
Age: Permian (?) or younger.

Deposit Model: Polymetallic veins; Porphyry Cu (Cox and Singer, 1986; model 22c, model 17).
