Alaska Kardex No. 031-58D (Kardex is a card file mining claim information system located at the State of Alaska DNR Public Information Center in Fairbanks).
Location: This site is at an elevation of about 3,900 feet, approximately 2 1/2 miles east of the east end of Reds Lake and 6 miles northwest of Bend Mountain (NE1/4 sec. 29, T. 35 N., R. 4 W., of the Fairbanks Meridian). This site corresponds to unnamed loc. 84 in DeYoung (1978). The location is accurate within a 1/2-mile radius.
Geology: Limited information describes this prospect only as an area of galena-bearing veins and stockworks (DeYoung, 1978). Its location appears to be in a narrow band of Devonian(?) quartz-muscovite-chlorite schist which separates Devonian calcareous schist and marble from a narrow northward extension of the Devonian Horace Mountain gneissic biotite granite (Brosg
