Location: This site is located approximately 5 1/4 miles south-southeast of Chandalar in a saddle between peaks 4970 and 4607 (SW1/4 sec. 16, T. 30 N., R. 4 W., of the Fairbanks Meridian). This site corresponds to unnamed loc. 81 in DeYoung (1978). The location is accurate within a 1/2-mile radius.
Geology: Brosg
Age: Middle Cretaceous(?) based on arguments by Dillon (1982) that the age of emplacement of the gold-bearing quartz veins of the Koyukuk and Chandalar districts was between the Neocomian metamorphism of the Devonian host rocks and their erosional unroofing and cooling in Albian time.
