Geology: Float that contained disseminated cassiterite was detected in granitic rocks of the Telida Mountains Pluton during reconnaissance exploration work by ASA Inc. The exploration was following up several anomalous areas recommended by the U.S. Geological Survey (Patton and Moll, 1983). The U.S. Geological Survy found anomalous tin, tungsten, berlylium, cadmium, and silver in stream sediment and pan concentrate samples in the area (King and others, 1983).
Workings: The U.S. Geological Survey found anomalous tin, tungsten, berylium cadmium, and silver in both stream sediment and pan concentrate samples of the general occurrence area Grades of the mineralized float are not available.
