Location: The Sunshine placer gold occurrence is situated in Sunshine Creek, 2.5 miles (4 km) north of the crest of the Sunshine Mountains at an elevation of 1,500 feet (457 m) in Section 33, T. 22 S., R. 20 E., of the Kateel River Meridian. Location is accurate to within one mile (1.6 km).
Geology: The Sunshine placer gold occurrence consists of fine-grained placer gold in boulder-rich stream gravels in Sunshine Creek (Brown, 1926; King and others, 1983). No other detailed information is available.
