Geology: Black, opaque, U-bearing mineral having Fe, Mn, Al and Si as major contituents; heavy mineral concentrate from stream gravels in area of slightly radioactive granitic and rhyolitic rocks has .010% eU content and 1000:1 concentration ratio (White, 1952, p. 8, field no. 48Awe108)
