Location: 575 meter (1,890 ft) -hill at the confluence of two forks of the Katakturuk River in the headwaters of the Katakturuk River near the south flank of the Sadlerochit Mountains; accurate to within 455 meters (1,500 ft). Cobb, 1972, Locality 3 and Grybeck, 1977, p. 39, Location 7.
Geology: Phosphatic rock is present in the lower 6 meters (20 ft) of a 30 meter (100 ft) -thick succession of black oolitic limestone in the basal part of the Schublik Fm. The phosphate rock is fine-grained and contains uniform dimensional oblong phosphatic pellets that average 0.2 long and 0.1 millimeters across. Angular grains of quartz make up 3% of rock. One sample contained 35.8 per cent P2O5 and 0.008% U and has the highest phosphate content of any sample collected from the Shublik Formation.
