See MAS/MILS Sequence #0020200023 (USBM, 1995)
Location: Occurs in a series of low ridges about 2.5 mi (4 km) northeast of Ekakevik Creek and 3.0 mi (4.8 km) north-northwest of Ekakevik Mountain summit 3040, in T9S, R22W; located to within 1000 ft (305 m).
Geology: Massive barite and witherite consists of masses of radiating crystals in south-dipping petroliferous Mississippian? limestone of the Lisburne Group; overlain by dark-gray, partly buff-weathering bedded chert.
Workings: Width of area of barite outcrops is about 650 ft.
Age: Mississippian?
Reserves: Inferred reserves are about 2,275,000 metric tons.
