A small abandoned copper mine near Lake Newton, about 25km N of Queenstown. The workings include 2 shafts and an adit. It was operated around 1900.
The Cambrian Mineralisation is volcanogenic veins and disseminated, hosted in Cambrian andesitic-rock of the Mt Read Volcanics. Gangue is Pyrite and Quartz.
