Gabe Gottes Fundgrube shaft was sunk in the 16th century. In this vicinity a second exploration shaft was sunk in 1887, this allowed a study of eight veins. In 1950 a new shaft was sunk from which two levels where driven, the maximum depth was 100 metres, this shaft was closed and flooded in 1959.
