Vanadium King 5, 3 adits on North Temple Mountain, was a past producer of Uranium from the Moss Back Member of the Chinle Formation.
Closely spaced ore bodies in the Vanadium King 5 mine yielded over 2,000 tons of ore. The ore occurred as nodules and seams less than an inch thick along fractures; the fracture zones were followed in mining. Veinlike masses of asphaltite
also occurred along fractures.
