A small molybdenum-copper mine south of Chesaw. The ore was contained in fractures along a granite porphyry zone. Development consisted of a 300' and 285' adit, some shallow shafts, and trenches. It produced a small amount of copper and molybdenum ore.
Structure: Undulating Shear Zones; Ne Trending Fault To West

Alteration: Kaolinized & Sericitized Granite Porphyry; Minor Ma Lachite Staining On Surface Exposures

Commodity: Several tons cu-au ore 1918. 500 lb high-grade mo ore . Slight radioactivity in ore zones.

Deposit: Ore in fractures & faults; oxidized copper minerali zation in an oval fracture zone. In 1961 6 drillholes (totaling 900 ft in length) we re drilled in an effort to determine uranium content; none wa S found. 4 patented claims.

Development: Adits, shafts, trenches; production in 1918; drillh oles, 1961.

Geology: Mineralization is localized along several undulatin g shear zones in hydrothermally altered alaskite, aplite, & m onzonite.

Ore(s): Near Granite Porphyry-Metasediment Contact; Fractur E Zones
