A placer gold deposit area located along Lynx Creek from near Walker, 7 miles SE of Prescott, to its junction with the Agua Fria Creek, 13 miles East of Prescott. Discovered 1863 by Captain Joe Walker & party (California miners). Claims extend into the S½ of sec. 23 and the E½SE¼ of sec. 22, T14N, R1W, and the S½ of sec. 19 and the W¼SW¼ of sec. 20, T14N, R1E.
Production was more than $1,000,000 in gold (1881 values).
