An old lead mine abandoned since the latter 1800s. Ruins here are the remains of a more modern crushing and dressing plant began here with government finance during the 1st World War to rework the massive dumps at Frongoch Mine (about 2 miles away) for lead and zinc.

Linked to Frongoch by a long causeway over the River Ystwyth after the war, the project foundered soon after due to heavy falls in metal prices. A resurgence in metal prices in the late 1920s led to a reopening, with a considerable tonnage being treated before prices fell again and the mill being abandoned.

The principal feature in evidence in 2018 is the extensive spoil heap up the valley side. Approximately 2/3 of the way up there is a slight bench in the slope with a open adit and abundant galena and sphalerite at the adit mouth. Above this entrance is a step of barren rock then a further spoil heap and above that amongst the grass another open adit entrance (also flooded) clear evidence of at least 1 shaft collar and a linear shallow gunnis running parallel to the valley side.
