Miltalie Silver Mine was developed in ~1890 on Cu-Ag-Pb-Zn mineralisation with anomalous As-Ti. The mine was worked again from 1910-14. No production records were apparent. The State Government drilled 3 diamond holes in 1915-16, but none of the holes penetrated either the calc-silicate host, nor the lode formations. The orebody was described as comprising galena, azurite, malachite, and cerussite, with trace silver. Company sampling identified highly anomalous zinc (best to 3.95%), also trace gold.
