Ancient gold mine and non-ferrous metals exploited since annexation by Romania. Situated in the nod of the Muontuosa chain of the Carpathians and in the heart of the Transylvania. Closed in 1990 not because of the exhaustion of minerals, but of the fall of the communist government. This mine has supplied remarkable aesthetic specimens, often in several associations with other minerals. The present deposit does not belong to the igneous genesis like those of Baia Sprie or Cavnic. The mine is located at a height of approximately 1000 meters above sea level.
