One of the largest producing mines in Okanogan County. The Alder primarily produced gold with values in silver and copper. Development consisted of several hundred feet of workings, a 300 ton flotation mill, and an open pit. It produced over 25,000 tons of ore from 1937-1953. Once being one of the best preserved historic mines in the state, most of the historic features have since been destroyed by reclamation.
Structure: There Is A North-South Regional Structural Trend South Fault Cuts Off Ore Zone.

Alteration: Silicification, Chloritization, Sericitization

Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc

Commodity: Au and Ag are enriched 2 oz/ton in cu concentrates made in mill tests.

Deposit: At depth are massvie stringers of chalcopyrite and sphalerite

Deposit type: Massive sulfide, kuroko

Development: Exploration in 1977, 1979, and 1990. Complex low-grade ore must be concentrated before sold.

Geology: Veins in deposit have no relation with the alder creek stock
