Oldens silvergruva
There are several sulphide bearing quartz-veins within the Offerdal parish, one is located on the western slope of the Oldfjället. Mined already in the middle of 17th century but also later in the 19th. Cronstedt visited the site in 1756 and said that "the ore aint either rich (in silver) or concentrated enough".
In spite of his opinion, a Swedish finance group formed in 1826 in order to produce lead. An international group made in 1840 another effort and also a new one in 1870. According to Bredberg the galena should contain ~775 g/t Ag.
