Rosemeyer described the Silver Link Mine, its location, and associated claims and minerals with considerable detail. Of special note were anatase, brookite, and rutile (associated with bornite and tetrahedrite) located in a quartz vein.
Clay Greathouse, who is very familiar with San Juan area, provides an anecdotal description and photos of the "Silver Link Mine" in his web page. In addition, Bob Loeffler, a Colorado rockhounder, describes the same mine at Rosemeyer's reported location south of Ouray, Colorado. Loeffler also lists the minerals reported by Rosemeyer in 1993.
According to U.S. Geological Survey Mineral Resource Data System (MRDS):
Past Producer in San Juan county in Colorado...with commodity Uranium. The deposit is noted to exist in the Dakota Sandstone and Burro Canyon Formation in a fractured and faulted fissure vein. However, the geographic coordinates in MRDS are not correct (they map in to the middle of a farm field near Crawford, Delta Co., Colorado), and the report may reflect confusion with (an)other mine(s).
