A former surface and underground W-Cu-Mo-F mine located in sec. 12, T1S, R13E, on a group of 12 unpatented lode claims, about 1 mile WSW of Top of the World near the Gila County line and about 9 miles N of Superior, N of Pinal Ranch, in Powers Gulch, on National Forest land. Operated by Faulkner and Messner.

Mineralization is a shear zone cutting granite near a contact with Pinal Schist. The ore zone strikes N45-70E, dips steeply NW, and is 1.83 meters wide. Fluorite occurs sparsely as minute grains in the greisen and in vugs in the subparallel stockwork of quartz veinlets that contain W, Mo, and Cu minerals. The granite wallrock in the stockwork is largely altered to muscovite greisen. Associated rock is the Schultze granite.

Workings include three 10 foot open cuts, several small pits and shallow prospect shafts. About 114 tons of ore were produced from the mine. Reference not clear as to whether that amount was actually produced.

Assay results: Wolframite-Scheelite ratio is 1:1. Assays from three samples showed .06-.25% WO3, and .08-.16% Cu.
