The first claims were pegged in 1956 and in the first two years, 214 tons of fluorspar were produced. An examination of the trenches – a total of 600 m had been excavated – showed that almost no fluorspar is left which could be mined by open-cast methods. The average thicknesses of the fluorite veins vary between 0.60 and 1.20 m. The access road from Dinde, which is 3 km to the NE, is in a very bad state (site visit in December 2014).
