Type Locality:
Habit: Platy crystals up to several mm in size have the form of dipyramids.
Colour: Colorless to greenish-brown
Description: The mineral occurs in cavities in magnetite ore, closely intergrown with (and possibly formed by the alteration of) chlorite by NaCl-rich solutions. When first described in 1978 (Zapiski 107, 321-325 (1978) (Mineralog. Abs. (1980) 31, 226)) it was called "chlor-manasseite," but the new data show it to be different from that compound.
