A former Cr-Talc deposit/mine.
COMPOSED OF UNUSUALLY COARSE GRAINED DUNITE AND SAXONITE. SHATTERED OLIVINE CRYSTALS AS LARGE AS SIX INCHES IN DIAMETER OCCUR THROUGHOUT CORE. SMALL CRYSTALS OF CHROMITE ARE VISIBLE THROUGHOUT DUNITE AND AT MANY PLACES SEAMS OF MASSIVE CHROMITE OUTCROP. SAXONITE OCCURS CHIEFLY IN BORDER ZONE OF PERODITITE OR AS SMALL FAULT BLOCKS WITHIN DUNITE. SAXONITE IS PARTLY ALTERED TO SERPENTINE AND STEATITE. BRONZITE CRYSTALS AVERAGE 1/4 IN. IN DIAMETER AND MAKE UP 10% OF SAXONITE. BRONZITE IS OFTEN ALTERED TO TALC.
