Member of Crichtonite Group.
A poorly characterized mineral from Romania has been referred to as "romanite" (Dragila, 1990), but it has not been submitted to the I.M.A. Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names (Jambor and Puziewicz 1992) and therefore cannot be regarded as a valid mineral species. Dragila assigned "romanite" to the Davidite Group, but such assignment is highly questionable (Orlandi et al., 1997).
Compare cleusonite.
