Formula:
(Cu4(◻,Cu)2(Cu4Cu+2)((Te,Sb,As)2Te2)Se12Se
Minerals from this subgroup are compositionally analogous to those of the Goldfieldite Subgroup by the substitution of (Se12Se) for (S12S).
Member of:
Biagioni et al., 2020 propose a series for Te-rich members of the tetrahedrite group where 1 apfu < Te < 4 apfu; tetrahedrite (sensu lato) group minerals with Te < 1 apfu belong to the tetrahedrite or tennantite series (depending on whether Sb>As or As>Sb).
Tetrahedrite (sensu lato) group minerals with Te > 3 apfu are goldfieldite (sensu stricto). Group members where 1 apfu < Te < 3 apfu will receive new names; tentatively "stibiogoldfieldite", Cu6(Cu4Cu+2)(Sb2Te2)S12S, and "arsenogoldfieldite", Cu6(Cu4Cu+2)(As2Te2)S12S, have been applied. Note that all of these compositions are S-dominant in the Y and Z sites.
However, with the discovery of stibioústalečite, the Se-dominant analogue of stibiogoldfieldite, the new "ústalečite" root-name was necessary to accommodate the new 1 apfu < Te < 3 apfu tetrahedrite group composition where Se dominates the Y and Z sites.

Solid links show inferred chemical differences; dashed violet links show same-formula crystallographic differences. Hydration states are not treated as relationship changes. These relationships do not imply any real-world substitution reactions between these species.
