Type Locality:
Pyroxene group. The V analogue of davisite (Sc), esseneite (Fe3+), grossmanite (Ti3+), and kushiroite (Al). Contains both trivalent and tetravalent titanium admixture. A complete solid solution with grossmanite and davisite is possible.
Known as a synthetic phase - Ca(V,Al)AlSiO6.
Chemically somewhat similar to beckettite and mukhinite.
A new refractory phase in a Ca-Al-rich inclusion (CAI); formed rather in reducing conditions.
Compare UM2004-50-SiO:AlFeGd.
