About Elatolite
Very special skeletal intergrowth of villiaumite in silicates of nepheline syenites.
Elatolites were discovered in 20th years of XX century in Khibiny and later Lovozero massifs as holes after dissolution of some water-soluble mineral. Initially it was proposed that the mineral is a high-temperature cubic polymorph of CaCO3 - "cubic-calcite".
Now it is obvious that the mineral is villiaumite.
