Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Sphalerite vs. Anorthite Both zinc ore Sphalerite and calcium plagioclase feldspar Anorthite have perfect cleavage that will split cleanly if you hit them with a hammer, but only one can claim a larger split of your votes!
Mascot Mine "Unknown #7" - Once thought to be habits of the posnjakite found here, but SEM-EDS shows both Cu and Zn in significant quantities, suggesting the likelihood of it being rosasite - or possibly even claraite. It will take XRD analysis to determine the species.
Habit:
Micro-crusts, sometimes sub-botryoidal to botryoidal, more rarely as crudely tabular micro-crystals.
