Comments:On one specimen from the old baryte prospect in the north bank of the gill, mattheddleite occurs as extremely minute sparkling colourless crystals lining small (<5mm) cavities in solid barite with caledonite, susannite etc. The terminations of these crystals are severely etched. Det. BM(NH): XRD, 1987. (Cooper & Stanley, 1990-1991).
