Comments:Subhedral crystals are found in the wall and border zones of the pegmatite, increasing in size but decreasing in abundance in these zones, respectively. Small, elongated crystals to a few cm pointing away from the contact with the host gneiss, associated with similarly-oriented schorl and almandine crystals, are common in the finer-grained wall zone. They may reach 12 cm in the border zone.
