Comments:Crystals weighing over 22 kilograms and 15 centimeters across, clusters of crystals to 7 centimeters across also found. The beryl crystals are arranged with their long axes roughly perpendicular to the zone contacts. The growth is tapered - it started in the wall zone and formed subhedral crystals of increasing diameter in the intermediate zone. If they reached the quartz core they formed short euhedral hexagonal prisms with pinacoid terminations. Dozens of molds of these can be seen in the quartz core in the prospect trench.
