A former placer Au mine located in the E½NE¼ sec. 1, T20N, R8E, MDM, 4.9 km (3.0 miles) NE of North Star, along Slate Creek, on the Plumas County line, on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. This locality is evidenced on the topo map as a large area of tailings on the creek, at the point where Yuba, Butte and Sierra Counties come together.
