A Mn occurrence/group of claims located in sec. 29, T3N, R15E, MDM, 0.3 km (1,000 feet) WSW of American Camp Station site (about 4¾ miles NE of Columbia), on private land within a National Forest area. The property is/was comprised of 11 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Ore from one claim consists of partially oxidized brown manganese garnet (spessartine) rock, from claim on Willow Creek. Another claim in the creek 1/8 mile W of American Camp has biotite and amphibolite schsists cut by calcite veins, with very few Mn stains. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
