A former Cr mine located in sec. 25, T1N, R13E, MDM, 0.7 km (2,200 feet) WNW of Peoria Flat (coordinates of record), along Peoria Creek(about 180 meters N35W of the North End claim; very near the bottom of Peoria Creek about W of the Spotted Fawn claim), on private land. Property was comprised of 4 claims. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Seiad Valley Complex (Late Jurassic dunite). The ore body is lenticular, strikes E and dips 90 at a width of 1.22 meters, and a length of 6.1 meters. Local alteration involved partial to complete serpentinization of the host rock. The deposit occurs in the northern part of the westernmost of 2 serpentine belts which trend NW-SE across the county. The belt is exposed over an area 30 km by 6 km. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings included surface openings comprised of an open cut 20 feet by 6 feet by 5 feet.
