A former lode Au group of claims/mine located in sec. 4, T1N, R16E, MDM, 2.0 km (6,600 feet) ENE of Tuolumne, along the North Fork Tuolumne River (on the ridge overlooking the river), on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in mica schist. The ore body strikes N35E and dips 60SE. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 crosscut adits to the vein. The lower adit is 537 feet with 1,600 feet of drifts at 300 feet from the portal. In the same adit is a 680 foot drift 125 feet from the portal on a parallel fissure.
