A former lode Au occurrence/claim/pocket mine located in sec. 19, T2N, R15E, MDM, 0.8 km (2,500 feet) E of Sawmill Flat along Canady Gulch (on the W slope of Bald Mountain). The claim is 20 acres. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Possibly location of adit shown in the NW¼ sec 19 on the topo map.
Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit with the vein varying in thickness from 8 inches to 2 feet. The ore body is pinch-and-swell in form, strikes N60E and dips 65NW. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include unspecified surface openings and underground openings comprised of an inclined shaft 200 feet deep and 4 drift adits, the lowest of which is 1,200 feet long.
