A former lode Au mine located in sec. 1, T1N, R14E, MDM, 1.6 km (5,300 feet) SSW of Sonora proper, N of, and adjacent to, the Gerrymander group (on a ridge E of Woods Creek), on private land. The property consists of 20.47 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in amphibolite and schist. The ore body strikes N60E and dips 35-65SE. The ore vein cuts across to host rocks which strike N10E, dipping eastward. At least in 3 locations below the surface crosscutting quartz veins intersect the main vein through the hanging wall, but no sign of valuable mineralization. At the 300 level, 500 feet from the shaft, the main vein has been stoped along a rich mineralized zone. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a main shaft 700 feet deep with a 200 foot winze below the 700 level, just NE of the shaft. Therev are 10 levels, 3 above the collar of the shaft. There is also a 1,100 foot drift adit.
