A former lode Au mine located in sec. 9, T1N, R16E, MDM, 1.9 km (6,200 feet) ESE of Tuolumne, along the North Fork Tuolumne River, on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in mica schist. The ore body strikes N35W and dips 50NE. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 75 foot deep shaft and a 135 foot adit.
