A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 22, T1N, R13E, MDM, 2.0 km (6,700 feet) SSW of the New Melones Dam, and about 3.8 miles NW of Yosemite Junction, along the Stanislaus River on the Calaveras County line, on private land. The property is 160 acres. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Mine overlaps into Calaveras County (sec. 21).

Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
