A former lode Au mine located in sec. 31 & 32, T1N, R16E, MDM, about 3.4 miles WSW of Buchanan, along the Tuolumne River just S of river mile 82 (about 4½ miles S of Tuolumne, on the ridge S of the river), on Bureau of Land Management administered land and/or National Forest land (located claim). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes E and dips 45N. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada), stated to be limestone of probable Paleozoic or Mesozoic age.
Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 adits at 320 feet, 150 feet and 250 feet long, respectively.
