A former placer Au mine (hydraulic) located in sec. 10, T38N, R9W, MDM, 4.3 km (2.7 miles) E of Deadman Peak, along the upper reaches of North Fork Coffee Creek, on Bureau of Land Management/National Forest wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). First production was 1916. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).
Production statistics: 1937: period: 1916-1937: 460 ounces Au and 40 ounces Ag.
