A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6, T37N, R12W and in sec. 31, T38N, R12W, MDM, (land unsurveyed for township-range. projected), 1.4 km (4,600 feet) E of the Marysville site, along Slide Creek, on Bureau of Land Management/National Forest wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a quartz lode Au deposit hosted in diabase. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 121.92 meters, and comprised of a 1000 foot long adit, 400 feet of drifts, a stope (60 feet x 3 feet x 100 feet), and a 200 foot deep incline.
Production data are found in: Brown (1913). No specific production record was found. Said to have produced $80,000 of Au (period values). The ore was free-milling.
Assay analysis results: Best samples assayed at 0.17 ounces Au/ton.
