A former placer Au mine (hydraulic) located in secs. 12, 13 & 24, T38N, R9W, MDM, 5.1 km (3.2 miles) NNW of The Cedars, along the North Fork Coffee Creek, just upstream of its confluence with Lick Creek, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite).
Workings were extensive hydraulic operations. Low grade.
