A former lode Au mine located in sec. 32, T35N, R10W, MDM, 2.1 km (7,000 feet) SE of Dedrick site, along the Big East Fork Canyon Creek, on Bureau of Land MAnagement wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness) and/or National Forest land. Discovered 1894. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTE: MRDS database corrected coordinates for this locality. The original coordinates placed this mine in Shasta County.
Mineralization is hosted in slate and granodiorite. Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 230 foot adit and 1 stope (30 feet x 3 feet x 40 feet). Worked as a pocket mine.
Production data are found in: Brown (1913).
No specific production record was found, but said to have produced about $10,000 (period values).
