A former lode Au-Zn-As-Pb mine located in sec. 2, T33N, R8W, MDM (UTM estimated. Unsurveyed for township, range and section. Location projected), 2.9 km (9,400 feet) NNW of Deadwood, along the South Fork Eastman Gulch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in slate.The ore body dips 60-80S at a thickness of 0.61 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included a fault. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 220 foot adit, 250 feet of drifts and 1 stope. Worked for pockets.
