A former lode Au-As-Pb mine located in sec. 3, T33N, R8W, MDM, (estimate in S½. Location estimated from description in reference. Highly uncertain), 2.8 km (9,200 feet) NW of Deadwood, in the headwaters area of Jennings Gulch. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. NOTE: coordinates provided plot to a point near an adit symbol on the topo map, near the Venecia Mine.
Mineralization is hosted in slate and granite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 75NW. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings cvomprised of several crosscut adits, the longest of which is 187 feet. A later drift was started 230 feet below the other workings.
