A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 18, T37N, R12W, MDM, (location uncertain as to township and range), 1.4 km (4,700 feet) W of Pony Buttes, along Emigrant Creek, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). Claim should be located on Emigrant Creek, 2 miles S of old adit in gravel (Located according to this description on the topo map with the coordinates provided). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic).
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit in gravels. Gravel 20-60 feet thick. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
